Bothersome multicast issue

All,

I've had an issue with multicast where all pings/responses are duplicated when testing.  For this example, I used a two router sparse-mode setup (source/dest from their loopbacks), pim rp is the router's loopback, switch has joined it's lo0 to the group 225.0.0.1.  Wireshark also confirms that the MC source is duplicating the ICMP echo packets even with duplicate sequence numbers.  Does anyone know why?  I have the following output:

Router#ping 225.0.0.1 rep 5 size 200 source lo0

Type escape sequence to abort.

Sending 5, 200-byte ICMP Echos to 225.0.0.1, timeout is 2 seconds:

Packet sent with a source address of 192.168.1.1
