I've recently purchased three 32MB Flash SIMM's to upgrade my 2610XM routers and 2611XM router to 48MB total. When I take out the 16MB chip and put the 32MB chip in, the router goes into rommon. It says:
Checksum failed on c2600-adventerprisek9-mz.124-10c.bin
Expected checksum: f10f, calculated checksum: 3c65
open: file "c2600-adventerprisek9-mz.124-10c.bin" not found
open(): Open Error = -1
loadprog: error - on file open
boot: cannot load "flash:c2600-adventerprisek9-mz.124-10c.bin
I thought possible bad new memory, but all three?
Is there something I'm missing when upgrading internal flash? Is it possibly an incompatible IOS with that memory, if that is a possibility or not?
When I put the old chip back in everything boots fine.
I'm upgrading my memory so I can install the 12.4T version IOS with EIGRPv6 support.
Thank you all......
