Route Priority

As far as I am aware in routing the following rules apply Route avaliability > Lower AD > Lowest path cost to choose best route and protocol,

i.e. if the subnet 10.1.1.0/22 is known by EIGRP and OSPF, because EIGRP has an AD of 90 it will always be prefered via EIGRP.

However recently reading up pointed out something different and suggested that

Route avaliability > longest prefix> Lower AD > Lowest path cost  i.e. if OSPF has a route 10.1.1.0 /24 as compared to EIGRP of 10.1.1.0 / 22 - then OSPF route is prefered.

Just wanted to confirm which is correct is right.....

thanks
