Hi guys,
Sorry for thepuzzlingpost header, but I couldn't find any other one. The following behaviour happends to me during VOLII LAB1:
^ No any connectivity between SW4 and SW1 VLAN 107 whatsoever. Any IGP on top of it fails.
^ The problem is that IGP neighbors sees each other's hellos.
^ No L2 problem as far as I can tell. ARP table is fine.
^ I can't ping from one end to another.
^ EIGRP on SW1 maintain adj for a short moment and the reset:
( *Mar 1 01:53:31.172: %DUAL-5-NBRCHANGE: EIGRP-IPv4:(100) 100: Neighbor 183.1.107.10 (FastEthernet0/14) is down: Interface PEER-TERMINATION received
Rack1SW1#
*Mar 1 01:53:34.342: %DUAL-5-NBRCHANGE: EIGRP-IPv4:(100) 100: Neighbor 183.1.107.10 (FastEthernet0/14) is up: new adjacency
Rack1SW1#
^ EIGRP on SW4 says: (%EIGRP: Failed to get client handle from BFD)
^ I've checked all the devices.. NO BFD is configed or enabled anywhere.
^ Tried OSPF on them, they saw each other's hellos, they go up to EXCHANGE, then kill the session due to retransmission timeouts:
: OSPF: Killing nbr 150.1.7.7 on FastEthernet0/21 due to excessive (25) retransmissions
: OSPF: 150.1.7.7 address 183.1.107.7 on FastEthernet0/21 is dead, state DOWN
: %OSPF-5-ADJCHG: Process 1, Nbr 150.1.7.7 on FastEthernet0/21 from EXSTART to DOWN, Neighbor Down: Too many retransmissions
Rack1SW4#
*Mar 1 01:47:30.307: OSPF: Neighbor change Event on interface FastEthernet0/21
*Mar 1 01:47:30.307: OSPF: DR/BDR election on FastEthernet0/21
^ BGP died siclently!.
^ I stoped the lab totally because of this one.
^ I thought it was a part of the questions, but there is no mention anywhere to a solution to this.
