Hello all,
If you've been so lucky to use the newly added DC racks (dcrack5 through dcrack8), you've might noticed a poor quality of the racks. I've so far opened at least 6 emergency tickets with problems, relating to the new racks.
Problems includes:
- Cable problems (missing SFP's)
- LUN Masking problems
- Problems with reachability towards Apache Webservers for the ACE class
- Hardware not supporting features that is tested in the labs
I would expect that we were not to see problems like that, as INE have had several months to implement the new racks since the first announcement of racks coming up in October.
Another problem could be that the worksbooks have not been updated to reflect the newly added hardware.
I've already highlighted these problems to Mark Snow and Brian McGahan along with the support team at INE.
I just wanted to give others a heads up on what to expect of the new racks...
