I'm sure that I am missing somethign here, but the task states that all traffic destined from AS 100 to prefixes originated in AS 54 must transit BB1...ok....
match as path list _54$...set locperf to 1000
then all traffic from AS 100 to cust of AS 54 go to BB3...ok...
again..as path match _54_. set locperf 100
BUT...the SG guide does not set next hop for R6 -> R2 as next-hop-self. R2 (which is in AS 100) will send traffic destined to _54$ to BB3 since next hop of 54.1.7.254 is unreachable. This does not satisfy the requirements per the task...
When I set next-hope-self, all traffic from R2 is sent to R6 and the routing decision is made there....if the link to BB1 is down all traffic flows to BB3...
If the link to BB3 were down would not all traffic destined to ....ummm... anywhere within AS54 be dumped at R2 if the next-hop-self were not configured ??
Am I missing something here ?? ...please tell me I am.....
