How to manage multiple RD & RT's

During one of Brians videos he mentions that in an SP environment you would typically use an application to manage all the

RD & RT values for your MPLS network, instead of a big spreadsheet.

Having never worked for an SP I was curious as to what applications were used or if indeed some of you do use a large spreadsheet?

Just interested really
