OSPF filter-list - why can't we use route-map

Hi,

did you ever noticed that we can't use route-maps in OSPF filter lists? In distribute-lists, we can.

R16#conf t

Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.

R16(config)#router ospf 2

R16(config-router)#area 3 fil

R16(config-router)#area 3 filter-list ?

  prefix  Filter prefixes between OSPF areas

R16(config-router)#area 3 filter-list
