Hi Guys,
I was trying to the do the INE Nexus Lab section - SAN which requires configuring the N5Ks and MDS's for SAN connectivity.
I was assigned DCRACK1, but when I tried to configured the int fc1/9 on the MDS3 and MDS4, I noticed on the sh int that the SFP was not present.
I then raised am emergency ticket and was adviced to set the port speed to 1000, which I didnt get as to why that could resolve the SFP issue.
Anyway, I am just wondering if I have missed anything and if anyone has experieced the same issue and steps taken to resolve it.
I might have missed something very basic.
Below is some output from MDS3 which appplies to MDS4 as well:
MDS3(config-if)# sh run int fc1/9
!Command: show running-config interface fc1/9
