I have a couple of FCoE questions. The first is I’d like to verify my understanding of the difference between the FC NPV and FCoE NPV features. My understanding is in order to support both FC/FCoE NPV, we need to enable both the FCoE and NPV features. The NPV feature requires a reload. If we only need FCoE NPV, then the feature FCoE-NPV can be used which does not require a reload.
The second question is related to the Storage VDC on a 7K. I see that the 7K supports implicit binding of the vfc to a port-channel.
"In order to create the VFC interface and bind it to the Ethernet interface, and enable the VSAN on the trunked interface, enter:
fcoe(config)# interface vfc-port-channel 2 <-- There is an implicit bind; it will be automatically mapped to the port-channel created in the previous set."

Other than knowing that this implict bind is avalable in case we are asked for it, is there any advantage in the real world in using this (other than saving a little typing)? On a related note, it seems to me that using a port-channel is a mixed bag; binding to the port-channel might add a level of redundancy but I thought that I read somehwere that there is an issuse with the CNA logging into the fabric.
Thanks, Gregg
