iSCSI boot troubleshooting

Trying to get boot from iSCSI going and I see that the UCS initiator can't reach the MDS. I'm curious if we should be able to ping the initiator on UCS. I'd like to test connectivity a little closer to UCS as there is some OTV and routing involved.

adapter 1/4/1 (mcp):1# iscsi_get_config

vnic iSCSI Configuration:
----------------------------

vnic_id: 9
          link_state: Up

       Initiator Cfg:
     initiator_state: ISCSI_INITIATOR_READY
initiator_error_code: ISCSI_BOOT_NIC_NO_ERROR
                vlan: 0
         dhcp status: false
                 IQN: iqn.:initiator-ucs-blade:4
             IP Addr: 1.1.1.1
         Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
             Gateway: 1.1.1.254

          Target Cfg:
          Target Idx: 0
               State: INVALID
          Prev State: ISCSI_TARGET_GET_SESSION_INFO
        Target Error: ISCSI_TARGET_LOGIN_ERROR
                 IQN: iqn.virtual-iscsi-disk-vsan10
             IP Addr: 2.1.1.1
                Port: 3260
            Boot Lun: 0
Ping Stats: Failed - Connection timed out

Thanks, Gregg
