Time: Today
Location: Middle of nowhere near brussles
Mission: Looking for the most expensive "pseudo" restaurant
Result: Restaurant found, food eaten.
Worth to mention: While waiting for lunch. The restaurant offers some routers and switches to play with.
That was my first attempt. And as you already figured out, I failed :D
TS:
For the next two hours, I enter to another dimension where a minute equals half the minute we got used to in normal life.
First minutes I went through all the tickets hoping that I can read and "get" them quickly and then decide which one to start with first. I ended up choosing tickets with less routers in the focused diagram :D :D. Not the best approach but again reading quickly through the tickets does not really help in figuring out which ones are easy and which are not.
I tried to follow the "5min and skip" rule but broke it at the first ticket. Me and rules do not mix. I basically kept working on tickets until I fixed them. Skipped only 2 or 3 tickets after 15min with no luck.
Last 15 min. I still have 2 tickets unresolved (3pt and 2pt), The ones I skipped earlier. I must fix one! I fixed 1 fault on the 3pt then started jumping between both tickets. The more I jump the more clueless I get. Minutes are like seconds, the clock is ticking and I m getting dumber and started adding commands without really thinking. I did not care if this could break other tickets, I am not going to pass either way. Time is over. And eventually my day is over. Let's start the config section for experience!
Config:
Knowing that I did not pass TS. I felt kind of lazy and I litterarly spent 30 minutes doing almost nothing. I was not angry but was in "I do not care" mode especially when I also saw some tasks that make you think "how the hell this can be in the exam" (It is in the blueprint btw. So it is fair game)!
I took it easy in the config part and went a bit slowly. I was really cool and not stressed at all. In general, the tasks were not very difficult, and I was going through them with the small regret that I missed TS by 1 point or so.
I finished with 50min to spare. did not mind going through all the tasks and only run the connectivity script for the last time. I called it a day afterwards. I was confident I passed config regardless of the few tasks that I could not touch.
On my way home:
I was still in the train, I received the email from Cisco. I did not get nervous at all. I logged in and indeed I failed.
I checked the details:
I passed TS :o :o :o. I failed config. Go figure! How did I pass TS? ==> I do not know. How did I fail config? ==> I do not know! Config scores were not great...
I need to sleep.
