Hi,
I have been able to configure this but am not sure that I understand how or why it actually works. I have configured an MPLS VPN between two sites (in a lab), and configured VRFs VRF_A and VRF_B at both sites. Now at site 1 for VRF_A I configure a default gateway which points to the firewall interface at site 2 which sits on the VRF_A vlan at site and which is a different subnet than which is confiured at site 1. Now I have connectivity to any undefined network.
My question is what is the logic behind this, why does it work since the default gateway is on a different subnet than the source VRF? Is this setup specific (or limited) to MPLS VPN?
Thanks in advance.
