Hi everyone,
I recently watched ark Snow's CVOICE videos & I have a question regarding inbound dial-peers.
During a video, Mark configures a POTS dial-peer with "incoming called-number ." and later, he configures on the same CME, a VoIP dial-peer with "incoming called-number ."
Is it really necessary to have both dial-peers (one POTS & one VoIP) having this same command ?
I thought when IOS tries to match an inbound dial-peer, it tries to match incoming called-number first against EVERY dial-peer regardless the type of dial-peer (POTS, VoIP, MMoIP...).
So my question is the following: is it really needed or is it a best practice to have an inbound dial-peer for both types of dial-peers ?
Thanks you,
Rémi
